Why shall you wash your hands frequently?

When should you wash your hands?

Your hands touch a lot of surfaces throughout the day, and consequently can pick up bacteria and viruses. It is good practice to wash your hands frequently throughout the day, but make sure you wash your hands especially at these key moments¹:

After using the toilet or changing a nappy
After coming in from outside especially after travelling
Before and after handling raw foods like meat and eggs
Before eating or handling food
After blowing your nose, sneezing or coughing
Before and after treating a cut or wound
After touching animals, including pets, their food and after cleaning their cages
How to wash your hands:
Wet your hands with clean running water
Apply an adequate amount of soap - 2 pumps of VedicClean liquid hand wash.
Rub your palms for rich lather.
Rub the lather on your fingers and thumbs and bits in between
Rub your nails on your palms.
Rub the back of each hand.
Rinse with clean running water
Dry with a clean towel or paper towel

You should wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.

Remove batteries or turn the appliance off to ensure you don’t damage the gadget.
First, clean the surfaces to remove any contaminants, dust and grime. You can do this by wiping them with a cloth that has been slightly dampened with soap-infused water.
Then apply a disinfect to the surface using either disinfectant wipes or a cloth that has been sprayed with a disinfectant spray.
Children’s electronic toys
Dip a piece of cloth in detergent with water, squeeze well, and wipe the toy. To take it a step further, use another cloth to wipe the entire surface with antiseptic.
To remove any excess detergent, use a cloth dipped in clear water to wipe the toy once again.
Your Mobile Phone or Laptop/IPad
Ensure that you remove any cases or covering your gadget has.
Clean the screen, buttons, corners and other places where lint and dust often settle.
To disinfect, moisten a soft cloth in water that is infused with a disinfectant liquid.

Be careful not to accidentally spill a cleaning product on your electronic device. Know what you should do if this situation occurs.
